PADI OPEN WATER DIVER
This training course is with out doubt, the foundation of any divers knowledge, and will introduce you safely to the necessary skills, and the diving equipment you will use, when you participate in this exhilarating sport. Once you have successfully completed this course you will be issued with a certification card (approx size of a credit card). This card is recognised across the world and will allow you to join organised dives, rent diving equipment and have air tanks filled, along with the freedom to allow you and your dive buddy to dive without instructors or Divemasters accompanying you.

The Adventures in Diving Course (Advanced)
This course is designed for divers who have an entry-level qualification to gain additional diving experience, extra essential knowledge, and an overview of many different diving circumstances. You will develop your diving skills whilst under the expert tuition of a diving instructor.
You will complete 5 dives, 2 of which are mandatory, and 3 are selected by the student from a choice of dive topics

PADI RESCUE DIVER
T his course will teach you to look beyond your own personal needs, and be aware of the needs of those around you. You will learn how to avoid emergencies, but also prepares you how to respond should the need ever arise. This course develops rescue skills, and teaches that incidents can be prevented with adequate preparation. It is a course you will need to complete prior to either Master Scuba Diver or Divemaster. - Full prospectus and prices on request
Normally run over 2 weekends
- First Day is to complete the Emergency First Response if you have not already completed, or unless you hold a current valid certification from a recognised training agency
- One day theory (can be split over evenings)
- Two days diving to practice and perfect the skills learnt during the pool session

PADI DIVEMASTER COURSE
This is the first professional qualification with PADI, your duties as a Divemaster will include organising supervising and leading dives. You will be responsible for assisting PADI Open Water Instructors, with both theoretical and practical aspects of teaching. This course will give you an insight into the attitude and judgement required for problem solving from accident management to prevention scenarios. The Divemasters abilities for problem solving go deeper than just safety related issues, and the course encompasses business operations, customer service, and complaint handling. This course will be valuable training should you wish to progress further up the professional ladder towards becoming a PADI Instructor.

For a nominal fee of £5 per month membership (paid annually) you have unlimited use of pool sessions held by the club every Thursday evening 8 - 9pm, and access to all the social events and dive trips organised, there is always a social drink after the pool session each week in Churchills Hotel in Llandaff, join us for a drink and come and meet the friendly crowd you can be diving with.

DEEP DIVER
Many of the worlds top dive sites and wrecks lie in deep water, to enable you to visit some of these wonderful sites, you will need to be able to safely dive to up to 30 meters (with a recreational limit of 40m) This course is designed to enrich your knowledge and increase your skills allowing you to dive safely to these deeper depths. The course includes how to plan a deeper dive, the equipment you may need, and how to plan to avoid emergency situations occurring. This course is 4 dives, and you must have the Advanced Open Water certification. Minimum age 15. Includes use of self study manual.
WRECK DIVER
You will find a wide diversity of locations and types of ships to explore with the underwater wreck diver course. You will learn how to asses all types of wrecks for under water hazards, the best access points for wrecks, what specialist equipment you will need, and how to navigate and map a wreck. This course is 4 dives, and you must have the Advanced Open Water certification. Minimum age 15. Includes use of self study manual. (Possibility of additional cost for boat trips)
ENRICHED AIR DIVER
Maximize your time with the upgraded PADI Enriched Air Diver course. Enriched Air Diver saves you time by allowing you to: • Stay underwater longer • Get back into the water sooner • Get your certification while simultaneously completing dives for other PADI courses Plus, by diving with Enriched Air you may feel less tired during your diving trips
For example, if you dive to15 metres/50 feet on air, your no decompression limit is 80 minutes. But, diving on EANx36 gets you 220 minutes of no decompression time - an increase of 140 minutes! UNDERWATER NAVIGATOR
During your PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course, you'll learn underwater navigation dive procedures, techniques, planning, organization and potential problems. You'll also be introduced to natural navigation, underwater patterns, distance estimation and further your compass navigation skills. You'll put these into practice during your three open water dives. Includes use of self study manual. Minimum age 10.
UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY
On this course you will learn to principles of photography composition, how to handle a camera underwater, preparation and maintenance of your equipment, flash and lighting for underwater photography, video techniques, The course includes 1 confined water session and 2 dives Includes use of self study manual. Minimum age 10.
DRY SUIT DIVING
If you are a regular diver in UK waters you will already know of the benefits of dry suit diving. Whether you already own and use a dry suit or plan to on future dives, this course will be of benefit to you. Additional skills you will gain include: Proper buoyancy control while using a dry suit, how to avoid and deal with problems inherent to dry suit diving and how to perform basic care and maintenance on a dry suit. The course includes 1 confined water session (for those who have never used a dry suit) and 2 dives and you can complete the course as an Open Water Diver. Includes use of self study manual. Minimum age 12
MULTILEVEL/COMPUTER DIVING
If you have never used a dive computer before, and are getting fed up of the short time limits imposed by dive tables, this course will introduce you to the PADI wheel, which is the only version of dive tables in the word allowing you to conduct multi-level dives, and show you the basics of diving with dive computers. 2 Dives included in this course. Includes use of self study manual. Minimuk ages 12.
PEAK PERFORMANCE BUOYANCY
Few diving skills can do as much for you as buoyancy control, it is a skill required in every dive you do. Correct buoyancy will save you air, save you energy, and make your diving more fun and skilful. Not only does it avoid damage to the environment whilst you are diving but it distinguishes you as a skilful experienced diver. The course included 2 dives and includes use of self study manual. NIGHT DIVING
Try visiting a familiar or your favourite dive site during the hours of darkness, and you will be surprised at how different the dive can be. BOAT DIVING

SEARCH AND RECOVERY
You must be an advanced open water diver to complete this course, and teaches skills of how to choose the most appropriate search pattern applicable to the surrounding environment, the specialist equipment available for search and recovery diving. How to lift objects once located, and the relevant lifting equipment and techniques available. 2 days open water diving to include 4 dives, Includes use of self study manual. Minimum age 12
OXYGEN FIRST AID
An entry level course designed to train both the general public and divers to recognize signs and symptoms of major dive accidents. Provide OXYGEN to injured divers while activating local EMS
Students will become be familiar with the signs and symptoms of major dive accidents (near drowning, arterial gas embolism, and decompression sickness) and be able to demonstrate proper assembly, disassembly, and use of all component parts of the Oxygen Unit, including the demand inhalator valve and mask, non-rebreather, and Pocket mask with supplemental oxygen inlet. Minimum age 12. Course notes provided.

EQUIPMENT SPECIALITY
Whether it's a regulator problem, a wet suit tear or a broken mask strap, the Equipment Specialist course can help. This Specialty course prepares you for the basic equipment maintenance, care and adjustments you'll encounter every day. In addition, you'll get the valuable background on equipment repair and purchase, making you better able to protect your investment. During your PADI Equipment Specialist program, you'll familiarize yourself with the operation and maintenance of your personal equipment. UNDERWATER NATURALIST
If you're interested in aquatic life then the PADI Underwater Naturalist Specialty course is for you. This course is an introduction to the underwater aquatic environment and will help develop safe and responsible aquatic life interaction techniques.
